Opting Out of SFUSD Has a Direct Negative Fiscal Impact on Every Child Who Stays

California public schools are funded based on attendance. Every family that chooses a private school takes $10,000+ in annual operating funding out of SFUSD — while the district's fixed costs (buildings, staff, utilities) remain unchanged.
